Teachers get to the Heart of Black History Month with creative posters and teaching themes. Ms. Arvinger in preK self-contained classroom teaches Black History throughout the year, and especially in February, along with her colleagues in the 3 other classrooms.
Another highlight is PETE THE CAT, all year every year. The students cannot seem to get enough of this popular book and song character. Ms. Arvinger works closely with the school librarian to ensure fresh PETE THE CAT content around the year, and together they won an Educators contest on Instagram through the official PETE THE CAT website.
